Semi unrelated question, but how do you get the linky thing with a user name? Ta.

It's something to do with any combination of the laurie penny / commentariat threads. Since I started off with only the faintest of ideas who the heck laurie penny is, and the threads were all growing so quick I didn't have the energy to try and keep up with them, I'm faintly puzzled by it all as well.

Maybe editor should allow seamus back but not firky...

Yeah, I vote for having Seamus back for sure. Missed all the kerfuffle, but thought Firky would have decided not to do anything tool-like after last permaband yonks ago.

put an @ in your post, start typing their username after it (with no spaces between the @ and the username), and you should get a drop down box to click on the username you want to tag

My cat went to the Ritzy this evening. Concerned citizens decided she 'looked lost' and carried her home. (My her address is on her tag.) I bumped into them in my street - she was reclining in the arms of her servant saviour, totally relaxed and enjoying the view. It was probably the closest I'll ever get to being a proud Dad.

My MIL was talking about getting a baby carrier to put her dog in as she wants to be able to take him into shops and stuff. Apparently most don't mind if you're carrying the dog.

Anyway, I didn't actually believe these things existed for pets but apparently they do. You can get structured rucksack type carriers or slings. : D

I found this in Homesense for a tenner.



I think my husband might be a bit jealous that he's not her favourite any more.

The dog? He's a Chinese crested. My MIL is asthmatic so she got a hairless dog, he's odd but lovely.

I don't think they do Lucy sized slings.

Easiest way IMO is to upload them to Facebook and then literally drag and drop into a post on here, but I'm sure someone more technically competent will be along shortly
