Roosh V, Pro-Rape Pick Up Artist, Announces Worldwide 'Tribal Meetings'

Often its just the difference between people who have something going on in their lives and those who don't. I've met many men that would otherwise be acceptable, not have anything to say because they do nothing in their lives other than eat take-out and play video games. Someone who goes out and actually does things (anything) is going to be more interesting to talk to by default.

Anything? Really? You think a garbageman is as sexually attractive to women as a CEO? Really?

I think you're confusing the social with the sexual. Women can certainly find a garbageman more socially attractive than a CEO. But not as sexually attractive.

Oh please. If you really need to be shown an example: women marry older men, men marry younger women.
And what about all the ones that don't?

Of course there are exceptions, no-one denies that (except maybe Roosh). But in general, as a general rule, and in general terms, women are attracted to men because of status--whether that is expressed in terms of money, fame, intelligence, popularity or charisma.
This is such a load of horse shit. The kind of horse shit that people like RooshV capitalise on. Women are attracted to all kinds of different qualities, and each individual person will afford those qualities with status, if that's what you want to call it, but that doesn't = women are attracted to status. Charisma? I mean come on. I know people of wildly different 'status' who have charisma.

phildwyer Do you ever get the feeling that you're missing the point, really badly, when you confuse the results of patriarchy with some sort of innate thing called "women's sexuality"?

Of course not. No-one (well certainly not me) would claim that there is anything innate or natural about anyone's sexuality. Obviously it's socially and historically determined, for the reasons you outline above.

But that doesn't make it any less real.

You're talking absolute bollocks now. But of course you are, because you don't know the first thing about what 'women in general' are attracted to.

What? This is bollocks Phil.

Yeah yeah yeah. Everyone says "that's bollocks," but no-one says why.

It's so bleeding obvious that women are sexually attracted to status/power/dominance, call it what you will, that the really interesting question is: Why do people want to deny it?

I think it has to do with the residual feeling that women should take moral considerations into account in their sexual preference. But why should they? Men sure as hell don't.

I think you have it backwards.

BTW, there's some damn hot garbagemen out there. Or, how about a pig farmer:

They are exceptions to the general rule.

Are women sexually attracted to weakness?

Again, they may very well be socially or morally attracted to weakness. But not sexually.
Just because you've decided these 'general rules' doesn't mean they're true. You're "proving" them with your observation. By that rule I can "disprove" them with my own, or my own experience. People don't have relationships, or even sex, based always and only on social, moral or sexual attraction in isolation.

male bonobos get laid *all the time* which is what I thought these PUA scum wanted? Surely the lesson they should take from Bonobos vs Chimps is that if they want to get laid they should be more like bonobos and not like chimps!
Thing is, I don't think these misogynistic types actually want to get laid. Whether they do or not, it's just another reason to hate women.

People don't have relationships, or even sex, based always and only on social, moral or sexual attraction in isolation.

That's why I was careful to distinguish between sexual attraction and social attraction. Power/ status/ dominance have little effect on the latter.. They have an enormous effect on the former.

No no Thora, dwyer has already explained that women don't care about that sort of thing, that's "male sexuality" you're thinking of.

So now you're going to deny that men are primarily sexually attracted by women's bodies?

Here's a useful tip: any man who denies that physical appearance is the primary motive informing his sexual attraction is a liar and a scoundrel. Avoid such at all costs.
