Rape, sexual assault and harassment in the entertainment industry

i didnt actually label anyone a rapist..i stated a fact that having sex with anyone that is drunk is rape as they are unable to give consent.

You literally said that what they did is rape! (About which, you are wrong, incidentally; it's not rape to have sex with someone who's drunk - only of they're so drunk as to vitiate consent.) I'm not defending them, or the law; but I'm not sure how wise it is to expose this site to a potential claim for defamation.

Ok your right of course i dont want to expose the site to defamation..i tried to carefully phrase it to state that anyone that has sex with someone that is drunk is rape..i suppose your correct in that "too drunk to give consent" is the correct description, although god knows what thats supposed to be.

That's not a fact though. People can consent when drunk to all sorts of things, including sex. Do you mean something more nuanced than just 'drunk'?

I think he's just a prick tbh, too much of a snobby one to do a 'vulgar talk show' and he has got new stuff out so boosting for that
To be honest, if Morrissey did a chat show I'd watch it. I'd particularly look forward to him reliving Michael Parkinson's experiences with Rod Hull and Emu.

He's not really all that washed up tbf. His last album got to number 2 in the charts, his recent autobiography was a number one best seller, his gigs sell out in seconds and the music press hang on his every word. Actual washed up musicians would kill for his profile.
It's very hard to get washed up once you've done something enduring nowadays. Louis C.K might be about to test the boundaries once more though.

Jesus. No accounting for taste huh.

Had another thought about the 'But women can ruin men's reputation by saying things!' crew. I think it's probably still much easier for a man to ruin a woman's reputation at very little or no cost to himself and his reputation should he feel like it ('She's crazy/ she's a ballbreaker/ she got around at college, you know/ she was just trying to sleep her way to the top/ she's trouble' etc). Whereas it's been made quite clear than any woman bringing a sexual conduct accusation against a man runs a gauntlet of all of the above, and worse if it gets to court. If she does 'ruin a man's reputation', even in the rare instances he's actually charged with something, her rep is shot as well because she's committed the sin of taking on a man and winning, at least on one level.

The Smiths created some of the most important pop music ever tbf. Loads of his solo stuff is great too. That he's become a crude and boring controversialist in recent years doesn't stop all that being true, and that's what sells the albums, books & tickets too.
Iron Maiden were better.

Yeah, I dunno why Bruce Dickinson isn't more widely reviled. He's massive tory.

I guess he hasn't come out in defence of a rapist yet, mind.

I do feel for Lena Dunham.

On one hand if someone very close to you is accused of a heinous act, and you are almost certain they are innocent I believe you have to stand by that person, for as Bruce Springsteen said "man turns his back on his family, well he just ain't no good".

On the other hand, she is at the vanguard of the fourth wave of feminism and has espoused the view that if a woman accuses a man of something she is always telling the truth.

Has anyone ever been stuck more between a rock and a hard place?

Reminds me of the brother of my ex.

Let call him D, he worked in charity organising and doing theater/dance training, musical dance productions.

The owners of the company had one main perk of their job, travelling around the world, was meeting young inpressionable ambitious poor men. It, the charity, is a u.s based proto-NGO.
