Rape, sexual assault and harassment in the entertainment industry

I dunno. People want to forget.

I think he's finished - he might not be in the same league as Harvey Weinstein, but I just don't want to see the creepy fucker on my TV again and I think a lot of people feel the same way - his comedy persona of being a fucked-up guy who masturbates all over the place is no longer entertaining.

Me too, but I felt/feel that about Woody Allen too

I had fond memories of Woody Allen's old stand-up, then I watched some of it the other night and it's mostly well creepy. (The Moose still stands up very well though).

what's this doing on this thread?
Cosmopolitan having a story about an artist putting male Celebrities in sexual situations presumably without their permission.

Seems bad timing, bad taste and if it was a male artist making art with female celebrities giving blow jobs we'd all go ballistic

From the outpouring of sympathy Louis CK seems to be getting on Facebook (on news pages, not my friends) I think he'll be just fine.

Was put for lunch with friends today - both actors - of the sex allegations accused, they were both well aware of one in particular - even to the point of being warned not to bring any youngish boys along backstage. They never witnessed anything but seems massively common knowledge

who? Spacey? now's not a time to be discreet

If someone doesn't want to name names, especially if they can't substantiate it with a link - which incidentally you didn't do up thread - then they don't have to. Plus you have been on Urban long enough to know about libel and how editor feels about such allegations.
Can't really link to something a friend's told you, and I think not-bono-ever was referring to a celebrity who's already been exposed.

I know he isn't from the entertainment industry but since previous groping allegations regarding him went in this thread, I'll put it here for now.

A woman has said she was 16 when former US President George HW Bush groped her buttocks as she took a photo with him and her mother.

Rosyln Corrigan is the sixth woman to accuse Mr Bush of inappropriately touching her in similar circumstances.

George Bush Snr 'groped 16-year-old girl'

I've just wasted a couple of hours arguing with Steven Seagal fans on Facebook, and, sadly, it seems that many fans of people don't care about allegations, and wouldn't, even if they were proved. They like the films, the like the man, and nothing can take that away. :(

Scientology being heavily drawn into this now too, with John Travolta's alleged sexual assault of a male masseur years ago being revived, and the hushing up and general obstruction regarding the charges of rape against Danny Masterson (Hyde in That 70's show).

Some light on that organisation would probably uncover hundreds of assaults sadly.
