It was one of the things that made us buy the house Finally had the chimney sorted last year so the fire now works (we'd been told the flue was blocked but it wasn't) and it's lovely and toastynow that is a pukka fireplace ,I love those victorian jobbies.
just think they were all worthless in the 40s/50s. thrown on skips, now they're mint again!
Sitting room is where we spend most of our time - I am currently on the sofa! - watching TV, PS3 playing etc.. front room does have a foldaway dining table in it and is generally used on Friday evenings/weekends in front of the fire or listening to music....oh god how middle class does that soundThat's lucky!
