Taken on my phone yesterday because the French coast was so clear I felt i could almost swim out to it.

I went to Shelsley Walsh today to watch motorbikes go up the hill. It was raining as I drove there and I was resigned to a bad weather day but in the last few miles before I arrived the weather cleared up and we had cloudy / sunshine all day.

I moved house - terrifying rental crisis & all that, so Ive been working really hard, and hustled enough to get a mortgage with one of my son's, and we literally bought the cheapest place in town. I was really uncertain, but as soon as we moved in I loved it! weepiper there is so much birdlife! Lorakeets, cockatoo, ibis, owls ( tawny frog mouth I think) cookaburras, galas, cranes, parrots, butcher birds all sorts - there's a little stream at the bottle of the garden and lots of trees which will flower in spring. I need a camera with a good lens, even though they all come close.

The stream looks ' rusty' but it's clear water running over red clay, and there's a lot of croaking at night time.

These are on the bird watching thread but putting them here too because I'm so pleased at getting quite decent but technically difficult shots in the circumstances (strong backlight, manual everything including focus except white balance which was a preset)

weepiper they are really good. I can't talk about the technical skill other than when I've tried to use actual cameras I've found it a bit overwhelming, but to my untrained eye they look great. I love owls as well.

Or just old people who remember how film works tbh

How do I know if a roll of film has been used? If I can't see any film, it's all been rolled in?

I tried this but not sure what it's telling me The Big Film Database for analog photographers - Search by DX number, code or name

It might be from when I was in Colombia/Ecuador in the late 90's/early 2000s. Is it worth trying to get it processed or will it all be degraded or something?

Where is good to get that done?

The only way I know is to get it processed.
You could ask a lab to process a small section at the start of it. If you really wanted to shoot on an old roll of film. but for the cost involved, I'd just do the whole film.
