When I first photographed Brighton Trans Pride 10 years ago there were no more than 100 on the parade to Brunswick Sq. Yesterday’s parade, on the news today, was 30k!

I was dragging my hangover up towards the station as the march was coming down. Met some old friends while waiting at the traffic lights; 5 pints at the Queens Head then home for spliffs and curry I do love Brighton.

Maybe I've posted this one in the past, but I've finally got a decent digital copy of it. I took it about 20 years ago, on 35mm film. Nikon FM2, Kodak Elite 100 slide film, 28mm wide angle lens on a reversing ring, and a Vivitar 283 flash. I can't remember the exposure for this, but I think it was something like f/22 with the flash held a metre away. The spider was no more than 3-4mm long.

I digitised it using a JJC film digitising set with a 45 year old Nikon 55mm f/3.5 macro lens and extension tube on a D700, and processed the file in Darktable.
