You'd have to ask Paula Radcliffe, although she wasn't riding a bike at the timeWatching this (6 and a half hour bike ride here), the guys sometimes pull off the road and have a 'nature stop', ie pissing in the bushes. The cameras obvs turn away - how does it work with the women's version?
I've not watched a second of anything horse related after the controversy with you know what (like I've refused to watch the convicted so and so in the other sport).Ooh goody, some dancing
Yup, and I was the one who raised it in this thread I should also raise that I've since read that the IBA guy is Russian and only raised the issue after the fighter in question beat a Russian fighterCarini has, incidentally, issued an apology to Khelif. So anyone arguing should be aware they're not doing it on her behalf:

There's very few black African road cyclists isn't there. Given how so many are absolute endurance monsters on the athletics track it seems like a real missed opportunity. I guess the barriers to entry are much steeper as the running infrastructure in many African countries but especially Kenya & Ethiopia is well established and lucrative at sub-elite level.Just tuned back into the road race. A shame the Rwandan guy who was leading for about half of it seems to have dropped back somewhere. Apparently he left school at 12 to become a bike taxi rider in his local town, realised he was quite good at it and then found himself caning it around the French countryside leading the elite of the elite. Love it.

Hopefully things will change after Biniam Girmay's stunning green jersey win at the tour. There's very few black African road cyclists isn't there. I used to use a number belt which had little poppers like in a duvet cover that attached the numberSafety pins! You'd think with how high-tech everything else is in sports these days that they'd come up with a better way to attach names and numbers to a vest then safety pins. Especially when some of the athletes don't seem to be able to manage them that well.
Cycling is the national sport of Eritrea isn’t it, possibly due to Italian influences?Hopefully things will change after Biniam Girmay's stunning green jersey win at the tour.
Oh, since I'm catching up - the fuck is going on between the French and the Argentinians, apparently across multiple sports??
Ah, yes, I do remember something about that, now. Ugh, wish I could be surprised. The Argentines are racist fucks - they were chanting racist shit on their team bus about the French team after a couple of games reently. Unfortunately the guy who posted it plays for Chelsea. And shares a dressing room with French black players.
That initial breakaway group was never going to do anything. They’re let up the road precisely because they pose no threat to the leading riders whatsoever.Just tuned back into the road race. A shame the Rwandan guy who was leading for about half of it seems to have dropped back somewhere.
And the award for the unluckiest Olympian goes to this French pole vaulter who failed to qualify because he knocked the bar off with his penis...

Very true but that victory has been described as one of the biggest upsets in Olympics history. I suspect that not having radios meant that at least one rider; if not the whole peloton; did not chase Anna Kiesenhofer down because they did not even know she was ahead of them. That's what they said about the Women's race in Tokyo
