Aye,two of our male boxers still in with a chance of a gold medal, chuffed ta fuck for Katie,as a nation we don't win too many Olympic gold medals, wining a bronze is usually a cause for national rejoicing, proud as fuck to see us on the medal tableBrilliant

I don't know if you realise but there are a few Irish people in the UK, plus their offspring, who might have been interested in this fight. Why is the BBC covering an Irish fighter on BBC1?

Dustin the Turkey on Twitter : " An historical day, people actually WISHING they were in Bray"Well she is from Bray. Lots of Bray paper puns on the way I fear. Brayveheart etc.
Interestingly the overwhelmingly Irish crowd was earsplittingly behind Adams. Not grudgingly or even just out of respect for an excellent boxer. They were openly partisan. The British minority were loudly behind Taylor too:
I've been to hundreds of boxing shows over the years and I've never heard anything like it. It was my 3rd trip to the ExCel since it started and it was by far the loudest of the 3 aswell. There was an absolutely incredible atmosphere there today.
Unlucky for Paddy Barnes, level after 3 but losing on countback.
It's just the adding of the scores from each judge.Don't really understand what countback is
Brilliant so far.Nevin is doing really well in his semi-final...
