Controversial obv, but I enjoyed that. This isn't the circus, it's a World Cup semi and you don't fuck up. Brazil's collapse last night was grimly hilarious but this was two teams who weren't about to ruin their lives through desperate incompetence.

The only good thing about that game was that the kits went back to normal shorts and socks colours. Argentina ditched the white shorts and socks for black and Holland brought back white shorts. That was the most interesting thing that happened. Same happened with Brazil actually - I think that was the first time they had blue shorts. Germany stuck with white though. Boo!

This. I thought both Mascherano and Vlaar were as good as any individual German performance from the previous night's Semi Final. I liked the contrast between this semi final and Germany's mauling of Brazil.
