Mrs Miggins
Eternal
I liked how it took its time to reveal itself and it didn't have a dumb, cop out ending. Nice sense of menace. Weird stuff that was not explained.
I liked it.
It has very mixed reviews on IMDB but that just confirms my viewpoint that not everyone "gets" things.
If that makes sense.
This is not a recommendation, just a comment… Has anyone checked out Obliterated yet? Fuck me
I’m going in. First 10 minutes are fucking ridiculous.
Love it.
We’re on episode 7. And once they get the most outrageous bits out of their system (though a degree of WTFness remains through the series), there’s actually good storyline to be had.I’m going in. First 10 minutes are fucking ridiculous.
Love it.
Braquo did it first.sort of a French The Shield

I've watched a couple of episodes with a French friend, so with French audio, French subtitles. Found it quite fast-paced and hard going. Will probably rewatch with French audio and English subtitles.Just watched Blood Coast, sort of a French The Shield, but based in Marseille. Really enjoyed it ,gritty with echoes of La Haine and some good plot twists.
I read something that likened it to a crossover between 24 and The Hangover, but I think your elevator pitch is more accurate. It’s like a cross between Team America and The Hangover.
I really enjoyed it too. And I liked the ending. Could have probably left out all the animal stuff but I didn't think it was overly long.I enjoyed Leave the World Behind.
I think that like 99% of modern films, it would have been better for being 20 minutes shorter, which could have been achieved by just shaving extraneous bits of scenes here and there. It felt like it dragged, which was a shame given how well done it all was. But pretty good — a solid three stars.
I loved it. Very often seemly slow pace bothers me, but here I found it not just spot on but actually an integral part of the film’s enjoyment and build-up of tension.I quite liked lots about Leave the World Behind but its pacing sucked and sometimes it was as subtle as a brick. Three and a half out of five.
I didn't think they were chasing anyone, I thought they were just all programmed to fill up and block the road ignoring all other cars (including other teslas)RE Leave the World Behind. Elon Musk makes a cunt of himself once again
(film spoiler ahead- don't read if you haven't seen the film yet)
I don’t think anyone including Musk was suggesting otherwise, though?I didn't think they were chasing anyone, I thought they were just all programmed to fill up and block the road ignoring all other cars (including other teslas)
My wife and daughter love this. . . I think it's a stinker.Yu Yu Hakusho. A miniseries adaptation of apparently one of the most popular mangas ever (apparently, I’m not familiar at all with manga).
Not having read the source this is based on I can’t comment on how good an adaptation it might be, but as a fantasy action series we really liked the first episode. Great fight choreography, and a good pace that makes it very watchable.
I was quoting the link you posted that said that that was what happened. It's like the people who wrote the article about how musk didn't watch the film didn't watch the film either.I don’t think anyone including Musk was suggesting otherwise, though?
As a standalone product, or compared to its source story? I am actually not the biggest fan of the demon fantasy genre and have never read any manga in my life, so not naturally a go-to entertainment show for me, yet I found it surprisingly gripping. My wife and daughter love this. . . Unless I misunderstood the whole thing, the joke was that Musk posted a reactionary post to the film in which he said Teslas wouldn’t be affected by electricity blackouts because they can be charged by solar power units. To which people rightly replied online that Musk’s comment was completely irrelevant to the film and suggested he clearly hadn’t watched it, since the Teslas featured didn’t have any use with power but with being hacked.I was quoting the link you posted that said that that was what happened. My wife knows the original manga, and I think my daughter might too (she mentioned that the guy with a thing in his mouth was supposed to be a baby). As a standalone product, or compared to its source story? Jesus man. Read the flipping link you posted. It's not long.Unless I misunderstood the whole thing, the joke was that Musk posted a reactionary post to the film in which he said Teslas wouldn’t be affected by electricity blackouts because they can be charged by solar power units. but he clearly has not watched the film. In Leave the World Behind, these Teslas can run fine – they have just seemingly been hacked to chase people.
Ah, fair enough. I hadn’t even noticed it when I read the article, as I was drawn to the headline. That’s shoddy journalism for youJesus man. Read the flipping link you posted. It's not long.
Yes that is correct, the link says that Musk is wrong because the cars are still operational. . . . . but the link goes on to say the cars have been programmed to chase people . . . which also is not correct.
I’m also increasingly bored by the genre, just as I am by similar genres that we’ve being overbombarded with, such as zombies, monsters, infected apocalypses and superhero wares. But I guess one can still be pleasantly surprised if it’s done right. We went into it with very low expectations but ended up bingeing it.My wife knows the original manga, and I think my daughter might too (she mentioned that the guy with a thing in his mouth was supposed to be a baby).
I am personally sick to death of bloody endless demon fighting and magic fighting heros. B O R I N G.
But Japanese TV had taken over and I am in the minority. Kimetsu no yaiba, Vivant, Akuma kun. . . I think I have to wait for them all to finish, then we can get back on with Hilda. . . though I probably got more out of than when my daughter was a little younger and it served as an all round family friendly watch.
