We watched the Robbie Williams doc, was never a fan of him but we quite enjoyed it. You gotta feel for him at times.
Is it worth seeing? We saw him years back and he was quite the crowd pleaser... but the last decade it feels like he hasn't got over not being a star anymore...

Episode 5 of blue eye samurai. The baddies uniforms are in the pattern of the carpet from the overlook Hotel in the shining.

They're asking what you think of the show.
It wasn't an opinion, it was an observation. Asking "and otherwise" doesn't make any sense because I didn't give an opinion about the overlook hotel patten. I just commented that ut existed.
I think the show is alright.
Same as before. I am not overly fond of the computer animation style, but it's a decent enough yarn. It's developed somewhat from the usual revenge / female assassin stories. I'm glad I stuck with it, I nearly didn't after the first episode. It's a nice casual watch.
Some of the music is daft, but maybe it's specific film references like The Shining outfits and Wilhelm.

I watched the last one the other day. . .

I was disappointed. It wasn't a satisfactory conclusion to a neat little story, it was a bombastic end to . . 'a season'. It was a very american style of just teeing up a new season for more of the same . . . if they get a commission. Ugh. I just want someone to write a story with a beginning middle and an end. {/ispoiler]

. . . but that said, I am mostly only sad/mad because I did also like it.

Yes.
It is a revenge story so it's a bit weird that we didnt get our revenge in that bit. But tbh, as soon as they said there were three white people left i knew it was going to be a multi season thing.

I liked it, it was good.

Watched an Irish film last night called "Redemption of a Rogue"

It's a bit meandering and I think it lost it's way as it went on, but it's unusual and has some extremely funny, very Irish humour in it.

We’ve just finished Blue Eye Samurai, and I make no apology for plugging it again. It is simply fucking superb, and I am once more compelled to urge anyone put off by the fact that it is an animation to give this the benefit of the doubt. This is all about the quality of the writing and the storytelling, which are as gripping as anything I’ve seen this year regardless of live action or animation. An actual 10/10 from me.

Ta for this, finally started it. Superb.

I didn't think it was great, but it did hold my attention for a few hours on a blustery Saturday afternoon before Doctor Who and so it must be half decent at the very least. I even let it finish the last 10 minutes and picked up Who on iPlayer. An entertaining bit of fluff, I'd call it.
(Often find iPlayer picture quality is better than Freeview, as well)
