Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe - Boris Johnson's death sentence

Interesting to see the name Pascale Frazer-Carrol on the change.org page. I saw her idiot sister Micha speak at a meeting that was meant to be about people who are locked away, for decades, in psychiatric/learning disability institutions and who die brutal horrible deaths there. She made it all about her ‘traumatic’ experiences of dealing with a ‘Eurocentric curriculum’ at Cambridge.

you joke kebabking, but the march of vacuous liberals isn’t stopping

I do not think for one minute any hostage should be exchanged for a penny.

I do.

We took payment for goods, we didn't deliver.

The moral high ground is a wonderful place, but in this instance, we are not standing on it.

I abhor Iran and its ways, absolutely and completely, but if Mrs Zaghari-Ratcliffe is ever going to be released, the money we are illegally holding will have to be paid. If it isn't, at the end of the current sentence, there will be another trial and another sentence.

Yes, it stinks, yes, it is abhorrent. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do.

Well if he cozies up to regimes that commit mass murder (eg Iran and Russia in Syria) and genocide (eg China in east Turkestan) against Muslims...
The biggest sinophile in parliament is one Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson

Johnson also won't hear a word said against the United States, a country that has killed rather more Muslims in the Middle East and Central Asia than Russia (or indeed Iran) has managed over the course of the current century

You might be right, but,The two "things" should be treated totally separately. It does go on, certainly in Somalia, but we should never barter or pay ransoms in exchange for hostages. It should not be encouraged. Fuel should not be given to these people.

Anyway back to Nazanin. What is and what could be done by socialists (in the broad sense) in response to her imprisonment and torture by the IRI

still interested to see references, wasn't aware of this.

which bit? That he did a broadcast for an IRI propaganda outlet, that he sought to undermine attempts at holding the Russian federation accountable for the skrpal poisonings, or his night out at the palace with Xi?
