Working their butts off to get the kid through high school, I expect, what with amiable hard-working hubby at the age where he's unlikely to get a job ever again, constantly screwing up his face, throwing rejection letters in the waste paper basket and running his fingers through his well-receded hairline, her mother's medical bills, and the son on dialysis.

Whether it’s the cops searching for a baddie or the antagonists trying to hunt down the protagonist, if their target is in a motel room their pursuers will invariably fail to cover the back of the building, and when they break through the front door they will find the target has escaped through the bathroom window.

In action/ thriller films, if a fight scene happens to take place on a train, the protagonist will invariably end up fighting baddies on the roof of the train. And the last one will be taken out by an overhanging signal equipment or the mouth of a tunnel just as he’s about to kill the protagonist.
