Edited again. They sell a lot of trousers in a rough leg at 37 inches. I so wish this was more common. You can never get a crease mark out on the leg. Rough legs are tall peeps salvation.

Simply fabrics opposite the dogstar on Atlantic Rd have some really nice wool fabrics at the moment. I suggest finding a suitable pattern and making your own. I got some nice green and black hounds tooth and made some skinnyish trousers.

just been checking out tweed, some nice pairs but bit itchy i bet.

Tweed trousers are often half lined. If you buy tweed buy proper tweed 100% wool.

That sound sensible. Trousers are a pain to buy as they never quite fit properly (apart from 501s which always seem just right). Its getting more difficult to buy work trousers if you're skinny - they seem to assume that everyone has a broader waist.

M&S have some lovely Italian Moleskin trousers in currently. They are so nice I went back and got 2 more pairs.

I'm a 31 waist and 36 leg so yes I share your pain.

For moleskin and corduroy you can do worse than Hoggs of Fife. The quality is excellent though the cut and colours are very 'hunting, shooting, fishing'. Unfinished hems too.

They do a jeans-cut but I've never had one of them.

Not wool of course but thicker than a lot of what is wool.
