Lunch should have its own thread

Pret are doing a new soup which was yummy - beetroot and horseradish. So that, and an olive roll from Tesco (still warm!) with a hardboiled egg and tomato I brought from home.
Successful lunch!

Bowl of homemade spicy meatballs with a can of squashed tomatoes and erbs, and a chicken and mayo sarnie.

Pitta with knock of Halloumi and mixed salad from the tramps buffet.

Was pretty tasty, but think I'll pay the bit extra for the real thing next time.

It was going to be fishfingers with tartare sauce in a pitta with salad. Unfortunately, as I was assembling this I noticed the pitta was mouldy. So it was a 'no bread' fishfinger sandwich :/

Homemade chili with rice and sour cream (separate tupperware pot) and pitta. It looks a bit measley as I'm calorie counting so only 100g of each :(

My life revolves around 100g servings. I feel your pain :(

*highfive* :D I have almost convinced myself it's OK :D I mean, I was starving and hanging for lunchtime and now I've eaten a reasonable amount of delicious food. So what's my problem, type-of-thing. You get me?

As long as it's left you feeling satiated it's all good. Resist the temptation!

Three sarnies on white sliced with ham, cheese, mayo and mustard
Pack of Black Country Pork Scratchings
Four wafer biscuits
One Activia vanilla yogurt
One banana
One pear

I officially don't get any time to eat lunch today, so I've had to sneak out to eat my leftover chorizo hash

Lots going on this month, so trying to finish stuff in the cupboards, before I buy much food.

Lunch today will be mostly from tins...mixed bean salad with mackerel.

I'm using up the cupboard store too, skintness. I always have to buy other stuff to make up a meal though, so it doesn't really work.

I had baked potato with tuna mayo and salad.

Spaghetti with some rather lacklustre red pesto from Lidl. Wasn't hungry till I started eating, now ravenous. Need cake for afters.

I do that a bit, but still works out cheaper. Helps a bit that I live alone, so will eat weird combos that I'd never serve to anyone else.

The beans and mackerel is pretty good, but think a slice of toast next would help.

I've been eating a tin of four bean mix with salad for lunch lately.
Problem is it's one of those big tins, 400 or 440 grams or something.
Beans are the only filling thing in my lunch, but youre not meant to eat a whole tin in one serve are you*? :hmm:

*unless you are really active or a big bloke or other things which Im not.

Depends who you sit next to at work. I don't think it's that bad though compared to a sandwich from the supermarket, especially considering how much more filling it will be.

Morrisons do smaller tins if that's what your after.

Lunchtime disappointment. :(

I've been buying boil in the bag meals from a shop in town, they're only 75p each and the chicken and rice is pretty good, although I bulk it up with a load of frozen veg. Anyway got in from my run, threw them in a pan and jumped in the shower. Came to open it and found I'd picked up a dahl by mistake. I do like dahl, but it's one foodstuff that doesn't make the transition to the foil bags very well.
