Lunch should have its own thread

i agreed to go out for lunch with work colleagues which means i have to wait another 2 hours (at least) for food. This is not good! I also have no idea what lunch will consist of. Work colleagues seem to live off lettuce leaves :(

I was right about the lettuce leaves - we had salad :D - but it was amazing yummy posh salad. Radishes and rasberries, apple, walnut and cellery, and rocket and spinnach. With homemade walnut bread, so thick it was like cake  Plus I didn't have to pay for it. Will stop moaning now!

Lunch / tea will be somewhat blurred today.
I have a bag of charcoal and I went to the fishmonger's earlier for a bream and a mackerel.
I'll start with the bream today - with fried left over baked potatoes and salad.
Hopefully the mackerel will still be OK tomorrow after being kept in a coolbox with a bag of oven chips - it may need a lift by then with a bit of chilli sauce.

I'm wondering whether I should gut the mackerel today. :hmm:

beef eye fillet carpaccio on toasted ciabatta with fine diced shallot, gerkin and heaps of black pepper.

Leftover indian from last night - Lamb biryani, and onion bhajis. Just eaten it so think I might have a 2nd lunch later :hmm:

I'm going to have a BLT later. And by later, I mean soon, and by soon I mean as soon as humanly possible lunch starts at 1200, right?

Absolutely.

I haven't had breakfast yet but am eating fake skips. Not sure if that's breakfast, brunch or early lunch. Hmm

Might have cornflakes after.

I had cheapo noodles with some chilli pickle in, one piece of seedy bread toast, and some phwoar co op dark choccy with orange in it

I disappointed my hosts, for whom a visitor from London is a golden excuse to expense yummy KFC or Subway, by insisting on boring old biriyani.

I had a large tesco help yourself salad bowl. I'm always impressed by the people who know exactly what they want and just select 3 or 4 key food types. I'm rubbish at that and just pile in a bit of everything, whether it goes together or not!
Anyway, it was nice and filled me up. At the time. Now i'm bored so hungry again. God i hate work :-(

Tuna sandwich with cucumbers, tomatoes, spinach, creamy sriracha, and swiss cheese. Plus a heaping helping of bbq potato chips. And a mug of cheap white wine.

I love the weekend.
