Lunch should have its own thread

Some nachos "supreme" from Taco Bell, on the way from church to work. Didn't even taste like food, really. More like salty, goopy paper.

I am in a quandary for lunch :hmm: really want something greasy and awful.

Fried halloumi in pitta with garlic chard stalks. Yeahhhh.

eta: with greek yoghurt and marrow chutney. It was amazing :) Like a kind of seasonal vegetable kebab.

I had a 'fresh' baguette from the corner shop (baked fresh today in their 'bakery' apparently - it's a newsagent corner shop so bit dubious about that claim!) Anyway, a bit of water sprinkled on top and put under the grill for 2 minutes, it tasted kind of fresh. So that, with a soft boiled egg and tomato. And several cups of tea.

butter bean & tomato stew with couscous, an apple, a very full tummy. Need a nap!
Won't be home til after 10pm tonight so needed a proper dinner at lunch time.

I am ILL, so something quick - today was chopped up veggie sausage & fried onion in a pita bread. it was actually pretty good, but not very healthy. must try and have some broccoli or something later

Sandwich with cheddar cheese and Marmite
Sandwich with Red Leicester cheese, ham, wholegrain mustard and mayo

Too much couscous salad: couscous, grated carrot, chopped red peppers from a jar, baby plum tomatoes, red onion, chicken, seeds, dressed in a slightly random mix of olive oil/tangerine juice and zest/garlic/harissa. I am going to stink on the school run

today I bought some cheap Aldi spinach pizzas. I have one in the oven with added red onion, mushrooms and grated Edam. I am not sure about the grated Edam, but it was a choice between Emmenthal, something else similar and Edam. I had tried one of the others before and it was pretty bad. The Edam so far looks good but I have doubts about it's melting qualities. I will report back!

Boil in the bag chicken paella. There only 75p from a local shop and surprisingly tasty. I might go and buy an outer of them when I get paid.

Two slices of cheese on toast toast with crumbed ham underneath
One slice plain cheese on toast
Small sausage roll cut in half
Couple of barbecue crisps
Obligatory veg - three cherry tomatoes
Pint of tea

Left wondering if I can fit a rumbaba in :hmm: eyes bigger than tummy....
