Lunch should have its own thread

I had the worst pasta in the world in a Tesco ready meal.
Serves me right I suppose but I was in a hurry

I had a great lunch today. First soup, and then this:

On the bottom is pide, which is a bit like naan bread, and it's warm and moist with butter. On top of that is a tomato sauce and meatballs, with thick yoghurt on the side. It was so good and a real treat.

That looks and sounds like something I'd like to eat. I am going to sound like a right old dodo now, but where is that food from?
Not the actual restaurant, the country it comes from, I mean.

that looks amazing :)

today I was supposed to be going for Nepalese but I've had to content myself with mushroom soup, a cheese and cucumber sandwich and salad...

Today I'm celebrating the apple at lunchtime.
I'm roasting a big bit of pork - the crackling is looking good- and doing apple crumble for pud

Ridiculously large salad - lettuce, red cabbage, red pepper, cucumber, carrot, olives, spring onions, hardboiled egg, vinaigrette.

A weird one.

Leftover red pepper hummus, a tin of sardines in olive oil, and two pieces of white bread and butter. Very filling

Oh, and three Thorntons toffee cakes and a camomile tea

a greedy lunch because i'm at home today and just went to Sainsburys (not that i need an excuse). Had 4 mini pitta breads, 1 with left over roast chicken and salad, 1 with cheese and salad, and 2 with butter and marmite. And then an apple and some coffee.
I need a sleep now.

i just had a boiled egg, half a carrot and some cheese. it was more a boredom snack than lunch though. Plus it's all I have in the house.

"Power grain salad"

It contains several things I'm not normally keen on - celery, walnut, etc, but it's very light and refreshing - quinoa-based with a sweet sauce to offset the earthiness - very low GI.

did you make it or buy it? What else is in it? It sounds nice (to me anyway!)

Chicken pasta with a bit of Boursin cheese (that needed using up) and a bit of salad (that needed using up) on the side.
