Lunch should have its own thread

no, the section in supermarket fridges that has stuff that's reduced to clear.
i was thinking of doing a blog on tramp's buffets and the different times of day food is put in them. for example, chicken gets reduced at 8pm at Asda.
It's generally the rule that the later on in the day, the bigger the discounts. Our local co-op has 25% at 12pm, 50% at 2pm, and 75% discount at 4pm :D

Today I will be having another baked spud, lashings of butter, leftover macaroni cheese, and another big dollop of Mr Naga chilli pickle. I have developed quite a tolerance to this stuff now - could barely have any of it at one point! Cesare - may be needing another order of this ;)

FEB. i have black puddings, but forgot to cook them.

Think I'm going to have sesame seeded bagels, cream cheese and streaky bacon. I was hoping the mr was going to make it but he's gone back to bed. I may have to get up. : (

We're both home ill btw, not just really fucking lazy!

i had homemade leek and potato soup - it was delicious  It's also filled me up so i don't need to stuff myself with crap for the rest of the day like i normally do.

Couldn't be arsed to stand in the rain today for the free Hare Krishnas slop. So, have over priced veggie pasta from the canteen. With pisstaking amounts of parmasan.

Followed by a Mars Bar, bag of Walkers Cheese & Onion and a Snickers.

I made bacon and he suddenly appeared. Luckily I'd made extra so I didn't have to share.

I couldn't really taste it but I think it was nice...

Have been taking packed lunches to work for the first time. The trouble is, the thing sits there all morning tempting you... had made a start by 11 today

I've started with packed lunches as well. Having failed in the past & same as you, scoffed the lot before midday and then had to buy more food at 3 , this week i've been experimenting with soups. Which requires walking to the kitchen and fiddling around with the microwave. The effort this requires means i do actually eat lunch at lunch time and not before!

We only have slightly stale bread and I feel too shit to go out.

I therefore had no option but to have vanilla ice cream with a bit of dairy milk caramel melted over it.

It was fucking lovely. : o

For lunch I had a poached, then grilled red onion, ham and cheese omelet and a salad with wholewheat cous cous, celery, spring onions, grated carrots, butter beans and feta cheese with watercress, spinach and rocket.

Had a short day at work today cos the school's closed so we only had to go in for a couple of hours of staff training (and the same again tomorrow  ....fuck me, I wish every week was like this! :( )....didn't have any breakfast though and my stomach was rumbling LOUDLY all the way through  ....so just got back and stuffed in a smoked salmon, cream cheese and cress sandwich and 2 bags of Monster Munch and now I'm going to have a cup of tea and an almond finger. :)

All day breakfast sarnie from Tesco that they didn't charge me for  Two mince pies and a cuppa tea. :) I'm saving the flaming hot Monster Munch til after I've done my talking/breathing on people for the day :D

I had some chickpea and chorizo soup - Co Op truly irresistible range, not too bad at all and I normally won't have any truck with shopbought soup.
