Lunch should have its own thread

Sensible bowl of Sainsburys lentil dhal soup and a roll with some ham. Accidentally topped off with two massive bars of truffle chocolate. Oops.

I went to Holy Island and ignored my doctors advice by having Lindisfarne oysters with tobasco sauce for starters, dressed crab for main, all washed down with half a pint of Russian Imperial Stout from Durham brewery

I went out for lunch on my own as I was slightly hanging and couldn't face the many chores. I went to a lovely cafe and had balsamic onion and Wensleydale cheese tartlet, new potatoes, salad and angel slaw. The cafe was called 'The Angel' and a pot of tea. It cost £6.50.

Delicious wintry vegetable soup (inspired by Miss-Shelf), courgette, leek, carrot, onion, garlic, toms, beans, all thickened nicely with a bit of barley, and a bit of chilli and cayenne to give it some umph. Buttered bread roll on the side.

Eta:Lidl lebkuchen and cup of tea still to come.

Chicken fajita wrap - £0.89 (tramps buffet)
Wall's sausage rolls x4 - £1.00
Small chips - £1.09

Stodgy

i want a tramps buffet  I paid £3.99 for an overpriced, unsatisfactory wrap from Pret. Ate it an hour ago and am now famished again
