Lunch should have its own thread

Browned Lancashire mushrooms, dash of Jack Daniels 'full and smoky' bbq sauce mixed in, bunged on toasted brioche baps, topped with grated mature cheddar and grilled.

Espresso coffee.

apparently pota is related to the squid/ octopus family ( probably the uncle the bloke who served us said ) and the potatoes are boiled in their skins in salt .
 
It was spot on and a complete surprise for a Monday lunch . 7 euros

I love everything squid/octopus/cuttlefish tbh.

Best meal I ever had in my life was in a harbourside taverna in Crete, asked for Octopodi, bloke wandered out to the end of the pier where there were lines out, pulled one out of the water and stamped it to death :oops: then held it up to show me when he was taking it into the kitchen. I know they are really intelligent animals :( but also delicious :(
 
2 slices of absolutely delicious homebaked sourdough, toasted, and slathered in olive spread and tesco's smooth smoked salmon pate (nom!), with sliced baby plum toms.

A plum! I'm eating more and more fruit the older I get. Used to hate pretty much all of it.
 
Mmmmmm wilted padron peppers with garlic salt and pepper, vegan bacon, lambs lettuce, pea shoots, alfalfa, spinach, rocket and watercress.

Trying to cut out carbs a bit this week. Belly went from 0 to menoflab overnight :mad:

So I had 2 slices of chicken, some fucking 'diet' coleslaw, leafy salad, baby plum toms, sliced yellow pepper.

And a plum.
