Lunch should have its own thread

To compensate for yesterday's lack of salad,

salad "serves 4" - 109 kcals
can of chickpeas - 306 kcals
total 415
plus dressing - 500 ?

Roast chicken, roast potatoes, honey roasted carrots and parsnips, sprouts, peas and sweetcorn and gravy. Apple crumble and custard for afters.

It isn't going to do my diet any favours on a day after a substantial breakfast and when I can't get out on the bike, but baked spuds, low fat hummus and a bag of salad - hopefully I will have something minimal for tea.

I'm home today, so I had one of my mega salads - those Aldi trays are very well balanced - and go really well with chickpeas and "healthy eating" honey and mustard dressing.

A few things that needed using up, chucked together in the form of toasted brown rolls topped with ham, wilted spring greens with onion, and poached eggs. Rather nice it was too, though I say so myself.

My boss/buddy/housemate got up early and made spelt bread, another type of bread with cinnamon and multi grain crackers with parmesan. She also made Hummus. And a fat and sugar free chocolate cake. I watched and ate. Its like living in a super healthy super delicious health food shop. So lunch was Skyr and bits of what she made earlier. She is superhuman - like an episode of Blue Peter but she plays all the presenters and does it all day every day.

Not quite as sustaining as soup and rice, but eating these whenever available doesn't seem to be adversely affecting my weight loss.

I seem to be unusually peckish today - had extra fruit with my breakfast oats and have just had a can of cold ratatouille as well as my wholemeal pastie, two bananas and a punnet of strawberries...

Pitta with houmous, tabasco, salami and salad. Slice of banana and walnut cake. Cup of tea and can of caffeine free diet coke.

I made the effort to eat with my colleagues today - they had two vegan options on the menu - chickpea curry or chilli.
I also ordered half a pint of "bitter" and it turned out to be cider ...

White rice and I doubt it exceeded 500 calories..

Mega chickpea salad.

And the last of the wholemeal loaf I thought I'd done so well to not eat for breakfast with peanut butter and two bananas :(
