Chickpea salad and sadly forgot to bring a fresh bottle of honey and mustard dressing :(
So had to eke it out with water with no great success, but I found a dried-up honey jar, added some Dijon mustard and water, gave it a good shake and it wasn't a complete disaster - totally weird how honey kills the heat of the mustard.

Brown wholemeal bap with (from bottom to top) cheddar, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, black pepper, salt and vinegar crisps and garlic mayo.

Cherry tomato, feta and spinach salad with olive oil and loads of fresh basil and black pepper.

Making the most of being inside atm with a kitchen and shit :)

Toasted, buttered, week-old (mature?!) pumpernickel with posh bbq sauce, rocket, and home made (butcher ) fennel-y sausages.

Tbh, I'd been finding the pumpernickel so dark it was almost unmanageable. But having a bucketload of sharp and savoury stuff on top of it properly brought it alive

Today I am making Baba Ganoush - the recipe calls for cooking the aubergine directly on the gas burner, which is quite exciting.

It will be consumed with flatbreads, salad and two surly children.
I make babaganoush quite often but I just cut the aubergine up and roast it with oil in the oven before blending it, so not really babaganoush. I absolutely love the proper stuff.

Prawn and avocado salad at the Serpentine cafe. Despite having a fairly poor prawn-to-cost ratio, it was very delicious.

Baby spinach, red onion and green chilli, 3 egg omelette. Salad. Olive oil, red wine vinegar and chipotle tabasco dressing. Already etten it, cos all I had for breakfast was an apple.
