Labour right attack dog Luke Akehurst appointed himself candidate for Durham North. Durham North are not impressed and only found out Thursday evening through the press. The CLP had three candidates lined up for selection, none of which were Oxford based Akehurst.
Anyway, his campaign launch has not gone well today. He turned up with about 15 bussed in supporters, refused to answer any questions, insulted Labour members and some people who were trying to have a child's birthday party in the room next door and then had to have a police escort out of the area.
Love the Palestinian flags: that will unsettle the oxygen thief that is Akehurst. Well done to those involved

That's Luke Stanger, who I believe is a member of Sussex Friends of Israel. He was also endorsed by former Lambeth council leader, Steve Reed MP. Both of them have blocked me on Twitter.
In the programme, a solicitor from Brighton, Damian McCarthy, gave tearful testimony of the hateful messages he had received, including threats against his elderly father and mother. McCarthy also recounted how Stanger had appeared one morning when he was taking his young son to school.
