Unless you really know your plants, its best to avoid things that "might be parsley" in the wild
Not milking ?Harvesting is the new term...
It's milk that's gone off ...
This has the potential to be good for your health
Not only does it count but you actually managed more than Stan did.I went foraging in Asda yesterday and harvested some Yoghurt, cereal and mango. I also walked about 8km. I also answered a few emails and made a phone call to earn my keep.
Does this count?
Isn't it more,
Or,
earthworm fricaseeI'm looking forward to hearing about Stan's lunch today.
you've already gone wrong by looking at a mapas some of you will know, i have become increasingly obsessed with the lives of the 7th and 8th Century Saints of Northumbria - Oswald, Cuthbert, Aiden, Wilfred etc..
to celebrate the lives and works of these giants of the faith, i have decided to walk St Cuthberts Way, a 62 mile trail through the March of England and Scotland, and to honour their travails i shall do so barefoot, dressed in sackcloth, eating only rough bread, sleeping under the stars and drinking only springwater with no water puritabs and not boiling it (trusting that the LORD will keep HIS SERVANT safe from the dangers of sheep shit.
i was therefore wondering if any of you knew of any good hotels along the route, and possibly a baggage transfer service?
Bites tongue and sniggers!I was thinking about cheese all night long. How do I get my hands on cheese legitimately
Cool bananas. I spent some very happy hours meditating on St Cuthbert's Island some months ago. It is indeed a 'thin place' - IME.as some of you will know, i have become increasingly obsessed with the lives of the 7th and 8th Century Saints of Northumbria - Oswald, Cuthbert, Aiden, Wilfred etc..
..melon season...
I would really like to walk St Cuthbert's Way or similar though, in a proper pilgramistic style..
have your children hold towels to screen you while you walk itme to - i love the area, and i've been inspired by Max Adams Land of Giants - i'm thinking about doing it in August on the way back from Glasgow, but i'd prefer to do it in the Autumn. i may even do the pilgramistic style thing as well - staying in only 3 star hotels..
i actually would do the causeway to Lindisfarne barefoot. i'd like to do it naked, but given the experiences of the Naked Rambler, i'll keep my junk covered around major tourist attractions.
If you timed it out of season, and took the traditional route (the more pragmatic route has changed due to shifting sands etc), I reckon you'd be okay. Possibly more research needed though... and maybe a friendly email to the local PD.me to - i love the area, and i've been inspired by Max Adams Land of Giants - i'm thinking about doing it in August on the way back from Glasgow, but i'd prefer to do it in the Autumn. i may even do the pilgramistic style thing as well - staying in only 3 star hotels..
