Living off the land 100%

If you timed it out of season, and took the traditional route (the more pragmatic route has changed due to shifting sands etc), I reckon you'd be okay. Possibly more research needed though... and maybe a friendly email to the local PD.

Now you mention it, I definitely see the appeal. Not sure why exactly, but it's definitely not a 'salacious' thing - due to the magic of antidepressants I have zero libido and so am pretty much asexual for now. Makes me top billing for monkhood lol.

yeah, i've done some naked rambling, its a rather wonderful experience - perhaps the perfect solitude - and i never got the horn for any of the passing wildlife.

I went exploring the small river. It is joined by another small river running down the hill from the castle. In front of the castle is a beautiful, forested park. In front of the park is an abandoned, overgrown allotment. Because it was raining I decided to settle for more spicy potato and onion summat and run back to the internet to check the possibility of forest mushrooms this time of year and go back later.

As I looked for somewhere sheltered to cook my snack, I found this...
market.jpg

A permanent outdoor fruit, veg, fish and meat market complete with running water and electricity!

I then saw the boxes of spoils all over the place. Is this against my own rules? Seemed very stupid not to use them.

So, I set to work :D

I found perfect tomatoes, Three ever so slightly cracked eggs, a pepper and some sort of beet thing. That was all I took, but there was loads of stuff there. My backpack is too full to take anymore food.

I know what it looks like, but it was very nice and healthy. A sort of omelette a la Edwards. Fed for the day. Seriously fed.

This place is still dead. I find this very strange. A beautiful little village close to the coast and Porto, with a castle, yet not a single tourist to be seen in mid July

I am going to sketch anyway if the rains finally gives up.

Big sinks with tables for washing clothes tomorrow, plus electric for a shave :) In the flower beds around the market was loads of mint and other things. Plants growing from discarded seeds I guess. A huge (but, grapeless) vine and many strawberry plants - again, no fruit.

I'm hoping if I do a sketch here it will sell elsewhere. I may get lucky from a bar owner, or something. I haven't checked, but suspect there is a car park by the castle. People drive up the hill. See the castle. Admire the pretty village at the bottom of the hill, and then fuck off. Seems the village itself is all about the medieval fair and nothing else. Perhaps I should walk up the hill and check the castle out?

That was very cheating wasn't it? :D
