Lewis Hamilton launches World’s first global vegan burger chain

He's a tax dodger: Lewis Hamilton avoided taxes on £16.5m jet using Isle of Man scheme
currently lives in Monaco, money sheltered in various tax havens, hadn't heard of this particular plane-let tax dodge, I wonder if it's been ruled illegal by HMRC yet. The article mentions the other tax dodging he does towards the end.

I dunno about anything else.

Thought I’d read he’d got rid of the plane. He does seem to be coming across lately as giving a shit about the planet. Which is kind of ironic given the amount of pollution his industry must produce. Not just the cars at the weekend bu5 all the transportation of that kit and the amount of rubber that must get burned after every race weekend.

Wonder if he’ll move to formula E at some point if he can cope with earning less.

Let me get this right, we're now lauding the ecological/ethical ambitions of a Formula One racing driver who used to fly about in his own private jet, while all meat-eaters are held primarily responsible for killing the planet.
And a tax-dodging cunt at that.

Lewis Hamilton: Social media post says he feels 'like giving up on everything'

Still feels all a bit false while he flies around the planet to drive fast cars that pollute. Forget the emissions. The tyres alone they plough through every weekend is enough.

He lost a race, went to his trailer and tried to cheer himself up with a wank, however that only made him fill with greater self-loathing so he tweeted this load of old shite. He might be vegan, but if some carnist ate Hamilton and then ate a t-bone steak every day for the next 100 years the net result for the planet would be less carbon.

He'll be getting rid of his boiler next
That got me wondering how good it would be if they raced steam rollers instead of F1 cars.

There was a great old film called The Iron Maiden about a steam engine race also memorable for the lead actor spanking the lead actress obviously in a light hearted family comedy sort of way

Who would've thought that the Dorset Steam Fair could be so exciting? Btw, the actor Alan Hale Jr. who played the scab Casey Jones in the TV series is also in that film playing the father of the spanked bottom.

To be honest I'd love for vegans to have a MacDonald's level of restaurant.

I suspect this won't be it.

It's going to be a cash in on a current trend restaurant with some celeb glitz as the hook.
A Planet Hollywood type affair.

Probably will do well in London and other capital cities for the trendies but doubt they could branch out into working class areas and do well, unless their burgers tasted like real meat and were priced inline with McDonalds, BK etc.

Working class areas? Which ones do you mean?

1. On this thread, there's been as much strong criticism of Lewis Hamilton as "lauding" -- probably more.
2. I haven't got time** to do the stats on animal-rearing's impact (world-wide) on the environment, but that might be worth looking at -- this academic article, published by the OUP, looks reputable (?)

**Or to get on this thread much -- apols.
