DrJazzz said:This is new stuff. He was a CIA agent.
The point is surely a fairly obvious one?
Masseuse does have a valid point methinks...Masseuse said:This is why governments get away with so much shit.
Because when they are eventually found out people still don't want to believe it. Or can't be bothered because it was a long time ago. I can't believe the pathetic response to this.
"Oswald was a cia agent"
"Prove it"
"Here's an official government memo"
"I've gone blind and I don't care and you're still a tinfoil hatter anyway so there".
Doesn't matter if you're looking at Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Lennon, or any other symbolic leader who threatened certain power structures. They all get bleedin offed don't they.
And by "lone gunmen"
"How long shall they kill our prophets while we stand aside and look?"

Makes a change from 9/11 fairytales I suppose...
bristle-krs said:governments and their agents do terrible, brutal, horrible, cruel, inhuman things. they did them then, and they do them now. so let's concentrate on the now, and the future too. let's arm ourselves with knowledge and understanding, and a love of life and honesty and a grim determination to avenge the victims, to honour the dead, and protect the innocent.
somebody got away with it in 63. but let's not pretend it's not happening today. and what matters more - 41 yearsback, about which we can do nothing tangible, or now, when we can do so much?

Remember- 8ft invisible lizards did it
Masseuse said:Quite right Mr Krs. But the past does inform the present and gives us the tools to fight for the future.
I can see where you're going, but I really don't believe it is a good thing to ignore the lies of history. We do need to put them right when and where we can.
Black history is a case in point. Do we really want the lies purporting to be historical fact taught in our schools?
bristle-krs said:it's about choosing your battleground though, isn't it?
there is quite simply too much information on the jfk thing - and not to mention the disinformation. too much to draw any serious conclusions.
there are so many holes in our collective knowledge, why get stuck up on one single, grotty episode - was one man so deserving? a man baptised in napalm and a mekong of blood?
silentNate said:Pictures taken from davidicke.com
But apparently Massuesse and Dr J have no problem going along with the ramblings of a mentally disturbed man
Masseuse said:But it's not about the man himself - it's about the way the establishment (for want of a better word) does things. Kennedy was no saint, I agree.
So the question is, what battleground do we choose?
American history is littered with atrocity. And each is denied or dismissed as some sort of blip, down to the President in office at the time. Watergate for instance. Heralded as a triumph of truth and justice over a corrupt government. What utter bollocks. It only served to perpetuate the myth that government is truthful and good! That Nixon was the only President to lie!
Governments are about accumulating wealth and power at any cost. Any cost. They lie and they kill to keep the status quo. That's the issue. I don't think any evidence supporting this should be shot down in flames in the way it has been in this thread.
This is about whatever godawful system is really running America. It ain't about Kennedy or Martin or Luther, but about the machine they got in the way of. This machine is still grinding on. What are we going to do about it?
Take the piss out of anyone who draws attention to it, that's what.

It would appear to come from the Government of the United States, and more specifically the from the Director of the CIA at the time. Can you read it ok fridge? I know the print can look small when reproduced.FridgeMagnet said:Well, where's this memo come from then?
Well, it would *appear* that way, wouldn't it? I trust you have carefully researched this particular document's origins though before posting it, and can now give us a run-down of them....DrJazzz said:It would appear to come from the Government of the United States, and more specifically the from the Director of the CIA at the time.
