King Charles III's time is up

I assumed that when Brian became king he's take a scalpel to the monarchy and slash everything. Perhaps because of his health issues he hasn't time or was never going to do it?

Charles is a patron of the two cancer charities mentioned below.

King Charles and Prince William’s property empires are taking millions of pounds from cash-strapped charities and public services including the NHS, state schools and prisons, according to a new investigation.

William’s Duchy of Cornwall, the hereditary estate of the heir to the throne, has signed a £37m deal to lease Dartmoor prison for 25 years to the Ministry of Justice, which is liable for all repairs despite paying £1.5m a head for a jail empty of prisoners because of high levels of radon gas.

His estate also owns Camelford House, a 1960s tower block on the banks of the Thames, which has brought in at least £22m since 2005 from rents paid by charities and other tenants. Two cancer charities, Marie Curie and Macmillan – of which the king is a longstanding patron – have both recently moved out to smaller premises.

The greed of it all. The unashamed amorality. Charles the caring 'environmental saviour' and William the caring 'homelessness saviour' revealed to be the very worst offenders on both counts.

The "helping" homeless people by people with more homes than they know what to do with has always got right up my nose. If they were serious, they'd chuck Uncle Handsy and his teddies out of that big house and turn it into supported accommodation for rough sleepers. The degree of hypocrisy on environmental matters took me by surprise though.

Definitely time to wheel out the shiny choppy thing imo. Pass me my sabots... (I draw the line at going sans-culottes).

This should end the monarchy. But this won't end the monarchy. Because there's just no fucking justice. The country should be incandescent. But, as usual, it'll just be its usual, complacent self.
It's not just the Royal Family - the CofE, and round here the local public school, own vast tracts of land. I dare say the likes of Eton and Harrow are the same. And the landed gentry.

The house I live in is on land which was once owned by the Church Commissioners, who are busy trying to sell off a lump of land down the road for development.

(eta typo corrected)

The last Emperor of China was not executed.

You'll get no argument from me there...
