It's news precisely because of a combination of circumstances that makes people examine a situation from a variety of viewpoints. Other than here (ie U75 and ELA) though, this hasn't been mentioned in a mainstream newspaper or media outlet that i've seen, let alone in any kind of political context. Make of that what you will.

I think it's been a classic example of dog whistle politics. JHE posts about some jews getting stones thrown at them in Whitechapel. He doesn't have to say it was muslims or to allude to Respect at all, but hey, some doggies hear the high-pitched noise above JHE's apparently straightforward reporting of 'the news' and they instantly bare their fangs at SWP/Respect rather than examine the truth of the OP.

this is a (part) SWP/Respect ward! in their 'power base' ( or what was lol) an area with a Respect MP, in the borough they have been based for over 15 years, in the general area they have been based for 40 years and more (and also as i pointed out an area with a rich socialist tradition that what the SWP is doing is an insult to )
