irrational dislike of colleagues

There's another which is completely an utterly irrational, and it's just because the poor guy smells funny. He makes my skin crawl, and just the thought of him makes me very nauseous. It's the smell of old people and death. The smell of badly disguised piss and some chemical that i can't quite identify, that you get in old people's homes. Brrr

That's not irrational.

I have a rational hatred of most of my colleagues. Until I worked here I never went along with the urban liberal-baiting. Now I work in an entire organisation of guardian-reading liberals and I have slowly learned to hate the fuckers. Particularly the woman to my left who is always having loud and efficient-sounding phone conversations, the purpose of which seems to be to convince herself that her job actually matters.

I dunno whether I am actually supposed to be doing this stuff for her or not, i've never seen my job description.

i am the admin for the team though, so i expect photocopying comes under my remit.

i don't mind photocopying stuff, even though it's boring as hell, it's her attitude that i object to. i willingly do stuff for everyone else in her section because a) they ask me nicely and b) they don't dump stuff on me with no notice and expect it to be done that day.

next time she's unreasonable, I WILL say something, though. Like "No."

I shall practice this strange new word....

Nobody I have a actual 'dislike' for but 80% of my colleagues are not people that I would choose to have a pint with outside office hours.

You have taken your first steps into a wider universe :)

cull them like badgers

I have a 'rational' dislike for some colleagues...

no such thing as an irrational dislike of anyone imo, if you don't like someone there's usually a reason, even if you can't find the evidence to back it up.

Nothing irrational about it - my colleagues are either evil incarnate or so lacking of backbone it's pathetic to watch them fumble and grovel and ... ugh.

Perfectly rational in my mind.
This.
