International Mens Day

Well, it could mean "everybody has a different gender identity and none are more valid than others" or it could mean "cis doesn't exist because questioning gender is just aberrant weirdness".

yes but you'd have to be able to see inside the posters head to deduce that.

I've posted a response to it already.

if it was the latter it'd become pretty clear if the person who said it responded.

TBH I've only seen "there's no such thing as cis" appearing in an anti trans context so I could see it being taken as hostile, even if it wasn't meant that way.

For the record I don't believe in a strict cis/trans division myself.

I've seen it used both ways - am assuming (because it's posted on here) it's to suggest that everyone is 'on the spectrum' as it were.

me response was nope some people are just bormal.

yeah, but that's just accepting that these things are more complicated.

but the other, that's like someone complaining that they get called straight, or neurotypical. no one is straight, right? we should go back to normal and 'other'.

and for the record, there are people on this thread who have a track record for trying to bait stella with this stuff. i'm sure you can work out who they are, but this has been seen before. they come out with the same crap every time. the aim is to either shut her up, or to cause her to respond in a way they can point a finger at.

so where does gender dysphoria fit into this way of thinking then?

unfortunately, i think you're dealing with people who are absolutely determined to hold onto the position that it dosen't exist. they don't understand it, so it's not real.

i don't always understand my aspie partner when he describes his experiences either. dosen't mean i think he's faking it.
