I thought he was gorgeous as a dad. I wanted him to cuddle me. (Although, actually, I am far too old to be his daughter - I think some of that is me being drawn into the sadness of the programme by the wonderful acting)He makes a lovely dad doesn't he?

I remember him from the Hornblower films which I watched fairly recently (it is astonishing how much telly and films you can watch after you get a diagnosis of a serious illness!
). When I saw him in those, I recognised him, so I googled at that point, and found he had popped up in all kinds of things I watched regularly like the Bill, Casualty, even Coronation Street, as well as being in Remains of the Day, which I have seen a few times.

My friend reckons that none of the others, although good, are anything like as good as this episode. In fact, he suggested that I watch the other ones first, as this one will spoil the other ones
I'm not sure about that....the sardines one and the silent robbery one from Series 1 take some beating IMO.

So Ep 3.
I enjoyed it. I thought it was silly and funny and also quite dark. Slightly disappointing ending as I felt it was a bit obvious and I don't expect obvious from these guys.
I loved the way the witch finders were called Warren and Clarke

just caught up with the first 2 of this series.
ep1 was dreadful. was it written by a school-child? I mean the twist was obvious, but the dialogue was dreadful too.
and then by complete contrast, ep 2 sent me into tangles trying to figure out what was happening, got nowhere near, and then when it was revealed it was like a punch in the fucking guts. I was sobbing... shoulder-heaving, noisy-arsed sobs.
