Hillsborough Justice wristbands

anfield

We are Sparta F.C.
In an effort to raise awareness and much needed funds, the Hillsborough Justice Campaign has designed red wristbands in the style of the yellow Lance Armstrong cancer awareness bands and the blue BBC anti-bullying bands.

The price of the band will be £1, but if you would also like to make an additional donation to the HJC, it would be greatly appreciated.

The bands will be available from the Hillsborough Justice Campaign shop which can be found opposite the Albert pub at the back of the Kop.

For those who are unable to make it to the shop, you can send a cheque/postal order made out to The "Hillsborough Justice Campaign". Make sure you include an extra £1 for postage and packaging if your in the UK and £2 if you're outside the UK.

To speed up the order process, you can send orders direct to Gerry who runs the shop at his home address as he will be able to deal with requests straight away. His address is:

Gerry McIver
6 Boycott Street
Everton
Liverpool
L5 6RU

Cheque's in the post. Well it's not but I've just written it and it'll be posted shortly :)

Great to see some of the Liverpool players wearing them yesterday: Riise, Dudek, Carra, Stevie G, Traore :) Shame about the result though :(

great idea

will the team be wearing them <insert question mark but this keyboard is crap<

Still not posted ('cos I'm crap) but have posted this on a Rovers forum I visit :)

There was a huge demand for the first 5,000 which were sent out before the Carling Cup Final. the next batch are being sortd now.

Rollem - You might have to wait a bit until the next batch is ready.
i also might have to write to them again, remembering to give them my address

Nice one!

Cheque, as they say, is in the post. Anything that gets people talking about Hillsborough has got to be a good thing.

Just a note to say please don't buy the red wristbands from the parasitic scumbags in town who are selling them on the streets as 'fashion bands'.They're not genuine and the HJC doesn't see the money.

will pop down to the shop at some point but i believe they've all sold out again.

Good point. Some scumbags are also trying to sell them on ebay for a profit. Obviously people should not buy from ebay-sellers because the money will not go to the HJC.

If this is the case the HJC could join the ebay Vero programme and request that these items be removed. It might involve copywriting the wristband which isn't that difficult i'm sure. Does the HJC have Charitable status?
I may be mistaken and these may be legit but the listing is well out of order if the HJC are not behind it. Read the content.
A bit of direct acion would easily stop this sort of activity.
PM us Anfield if you want a few idea's on having a pop back at these clowns.

the ebay thing got sorted, and they have been removed. i have screenshot somewhere of the closing bid for the wristband ( about 5 million quid as i rememeber). and the scumbag who was selling them is only on the wirral anyway so he may be sweating a bit

This sellers in crew. I spoke to LFC who are chasing it up on a copyright issue relating to the text in the listing. I've no objection to someone making a few quid for themselves but this is taking the piss good and proper.
Fingers crossed for a big win tonight and lets not forget those who lost their lives in Heysel.
Come on the Reds.

What's worse is this fella's trying to profit from the Hillsborough tragedy, rather than raise funds for the campaign which is fightig for justice on behalf of the relatives.

Ditto. Got the butterflies already. First goal Stevie but it would be great to see Mighty Igor adding to his goal tally and cementing his legendary status.
