Hillsborough songs.

This is fans talking so not my words but an unhappy fan saying that Utd respected it but not Chelsea (and Spurs?) later in the day.

I was at the United game. There was a minutes silence but the announcement said Sir Alex had asked for a minutes silence for the footballer who died. No mention of Hillsborough at all. It was respected though.

i saw that earlier. i was more interested in the sort of disgusting songs you referred to in the op.
I didn't hear any song being sung about it today but I have heard United fans singing songs mocking it in the past.

eta SK claims he heard United fans singing a song about it so I posted the thread to see if anyone else apart from him had heard it.

Dunno. As I said they were moaning fans so not sure.

You're demonstrating the exact complex the song is about.

There are a couple of Hillsborough songs (96WNE and the final verse of In Your Liverpool Slums). They're sung by a minority of twats and thankfully don't get sung much. 'Always the victim' is fuck all to do with Hillsborough. It was about the way your club handled the Suarez thing.

No, if it was about Suarez it wouldn't start "Always".. The victim complex thing is just recycling what tories say.

usually busby and the boys, and they're making lots of noise cos they can't find their way home.

it's precisely that sort of unrepeatable song i was interested in finding out more about.

The song SK was referring to is 'It's never your fault, it's never your fault, always the victim, it's never your fault'

As I said, not a Hillsborough song. It's about the club's reaction to the Suarez/Evra thing.

it's a bit crap and not really all that offensive.

It's not just about Suarez, as I said earlier. But that is where it came from, that is why it only started at the cup game THIS season. There's been Hillsborough songs flying round for 22 years. That isn't one of them.

I'm not denying those songs get sung btw. That just isn't one of them.

I thought it is quite funny, and it obviously needle them.

It's wank. It's like the reworking of the Irwell to Sicily one and we do what we want.

We've got loads of fucking great songs and all we sing (if we sing at all) is this bollocks.

One of the main reasons for these songs is to wind the other fans up and this one seems to work a treat and we were singing songs with this intent when I started going back in the seventies and most likely for a long time before.

I'm all for winding up Scousers but we could at least do it well.

Disagree. And I think you and Deareg are either not admitting it or naive.
It has been pointed out to you already that United fans have been singing this song for a few months now, I asked you earlier why is it about Hillsborough today but not at any other game?
