a&e is always dead busy on a friday night anyway.
The free market will ensure that major trauma victims have an open choice of which hospital to be taken to, all of whom will be providing treatment far more cost-effectively due to the magic pixie-dust of competition. Via an iPhone app (not available on Android) patients that have had a helicopter land on them will be able to quickly and easily access realtime information on A&E waiting times, mortality rates, and (due to a partnership with TomTom) the probable journey time in the ambulance and their chances of surviving it. Should the likelihood of survival be less than 50% they'll be presented with a link to "lastwords.com" so they can upload a final video for friends and family, which will be paid for by embedded adverts for undertakers and funeral directors.NHS Greater Glasgow is currently in the process of consolidating/rationalising hospitals. At least one A&E will be lost north of the Clyde, with the Southern General becoming a major complex. Makes me wonder how the infrastructure will cope with a major incident like this with fewer trauma centres.
Still might be some trapped, it seems.
That's happening all over the place. Fucking irresponsible shit, decided by people who can afford to go to their nice private hospitals in times of need.
Surprised it hasn't exploded or caught fire.
The Police Roll of Honour Trust tweeted "Our thoughts are with the crew of @policescotland SP99 helicopter that has crashed in Glasgow - hoping everyone is alright."
and now they have a ''former RAF technician'' with his ''theory'' on why the helicopter crashed even though he is no where near the scene.
The mind boggles.
They will likely have lists of "common faults" for different make/model along with any previous accident history. Normally that's their angle.
Doesn't mean he's correct or wrong but he sure fills up air time on rolling news.
Just saying, like.
Ran out of heightHis analysis was ''It seems they ran out of height'' No shit Sherlock.
It was all a bit like a man trying to explain the various faults that can occur on a boiler whilst talking to someone over the phone who's boiler has stopped working. Lots of information, none very useful.

Apparently the Mail Online is being as sensationalist as usual.

''It was bedlam; there was a almighty explosion and then a huge fireball'' Mail Online
WTF. All the news reports/eye witnesses say that the strange thing was that there was no explosion or a fireball.
Do they not even check the tele before writing this bullshit?
Laser pointers.they'll be saying people were robbing the pockets of the dead... seriuosly wait till the dust has settled and someone from the gutter end will find a way to blame the gig goers.
STV were saying quite some time ago that there were 3 dead, but at the time the police hadn't confirmed.
Civilian pilot plus two officers. There were three in the 'copter, yes? Pilot and two cops? Police memorial fund says its thoughts are with the families?
They'll be waiting until the families have been formally notified. If they're watching the news, they already know...
Awful
Just watching BBC news now and as Jim Murphey MP was talking you could see a group of lads in the background giggling and trying to get their faces on the camera like it was a big laugh, a stones throw away from where people appear to still be trapped in the pub. What is wrong with these muppets.
Didn't see it, but 1st thought is whether they actually knew why the cameras were there, what was going on?I was watching that. Couldn't believe their behaviour
