Sorry...Rotten Tomatoes: 100% critics and 97% audience.

That's just way too high for it to be 'losing it' DC.

Hannibal made me jump...I haven't jumped since I was a kid. Visually stunning, absolutely excellent acting and writing. It's better than GoT in my opinion (and I'm not pushing that onto anyone else).

And the food. My God...the food. My compliments to the chef.

Ok - I only watched this the other day. How the fuck is Will supposed to have survived? I mean literally - would someone mind reminding me exactly how he (appeared to meet or) met his death?

I remember how the psych woman died - but not Will.

Cos to me, it's all about Will. And no just because he's pretty.

Will wasn't killed. Crawford had his throat cut, I think, but it depends when help comes. Alana being pushed through the window...if I don't see people actually die then in tv terms they're not dead.

Will and Hannibal are absolutely fascinating characters.

She didn't die, either, as I mentioned on the GoT thread.

Will gets stabbed by Lecter

Seriously...you didn't even look at it...you just proclaimed something as fact.

You have jumped the shark.

Which is why Chilton must come back. He has to be around for the film storylines anyway

No, I just skimmed IMDb earlier
Not a problem.

I've really liked this so far...I mean really. The main characters are hypnotic and unfathomable...a rubic's cube cubed. That's overstatement but still reflects how I am drawn into the story. It's a compelling narrative. There is a visual quality that gets me. Chilton is neither here nor there because I do not know what will happen. I have no idea. I know Will lives because this tv series is nothing without him, I know that. Maybe they're good enough to break away from him and concentrate on the eponymous but I don't know that.

It engages me and I can't predict it. I love that.

You carry on....skimming :)

I forgot what happened at the end of season 2, apart from everyone ends up sitting in at least five pints of their own blood and the teenage girl who has already been dead twice is alive again after all.

First episode seems to mainly be setting up the move to Florence, but the last 10 minutes or so are great.

The dialogue is still a bit too quiet though

I've missed this show a lot.

Loved that they only had Hannibal and Bedelia in the opener. Keep us guessing...

Shame the ratings are shit, I'd be gutted if it was cancelled. Best US drama on TV

Well that was a load of old rubbish.

Gillian Anderson's Italian is not very good.

Visually stretching towards Bladerunner levels there. A work of art.

Food wasn't up to much tbh.

Seemed lots of arty shots of nothing much thrown in to cover up for a near-total lack of plot tbh.

Anyone spot Zachary Quinto was Bedelia's murdered patient, apparently?

(I didn't)

SpookyFrank lots (all) of episodes are filled with textured and detailed scenes in Hannibal. The plot is usually a season-long arc and burns slowly.

Gideon's dinner conversations were excellent, doubt we'll get many more.

You have to wonder if the flash-backs of Bedelia talking to Crawford means they might have hatched a long-term plan.

I thought Season 2 was the end of it. What a delight to have my favourite psychopath back :D (PS : yes I'm still vegetarian, and will remain forever I guess)
