Hadley's reveal new stadium design

I think Meadows are showing a desire to push things on. The report in last week's South London Press made it sound like they're getting frustrated with Southwark (over this application and, I suspect, talks concerning the main planning application) and are making a veiled threat to the club's future in the last sentence...

There is definitely a desire to push this on to an end result but that's hardly surprising considering it has been with the council since May and not yet been formally considered. The investors funding the project will undoubtedly have a finite level of finance that they are willing to commit whilst having no guarantee of a return.

No matter how much I try to get my head around this, I keep coming back to the same thought: would a house buyer prefer a development with a football club in the middle of their new oasis, or no football club at all. You sort of get the feeling we are heading into "this needs a White Knight in Shining Armour" territory. We do have some bloody clever people on both the Trust and DHFC football committee, who even when you know won't be getting updated by Meadows, will be doing absolutely everything they can to keep supporters updated.

Have Meadows, and previously Hadley, lumped any more debt onto the club? I guess unlikely, but you never know.
And yes, totally aware if Hadley didn't show up then we wouldn't have a football team at CH anymore!

I'm also guessing the Mayoral contest may have been a delay too.
We really are between a rock and a hard place - I doubt any supporters trust either the owners or the Council.

Meadows remind me of the pushy "forward thinking" family from the 90s kids show Round The Twist. The Gribbles they were called.
Champion Hill is our lighthouse.

I'll start marking the pitch out on peckham rye then...

Ground share with Peckham Town, oh bollocks just remembered they're already ground sharing themselves at Carib FC.

Have you ever, ever felt like this..

Why? There's lots of people, I mean the FoG & FoDKHW, who say we can survive where we are if Greendale isn't built on...(even though it already is technically, with an all-weather pitch, fencing around it (albeit torn down) changing rooms & tarmac, not to mention floodlights...)

It's a joke Mishi!! :D

Tells us nothing we don't already know, or at least suspected. Rack the club with further debts, make it unsustainable, we end up well and trully over a barrel, and support whatever is offered us. Grim times ahead I suspect. We had no choice in any case, but I feel the reality of getting into bed with an american hedge funded property developer is going to become all to clear. :(

Me neither. I don't like the brinkmanship, using the club. But Southwark do need to get a move on with their decision. Anyone know when they are due to decide?

Pitchero site down.

Would have been nice if Meadow Residential had bothered to release a statement saying they were taking over in the first place.
We'll do what we want, we'll do what we waaaaant, we're Meadow Residential, we'll do what we want.

No surrender, No surrender, NO SURRENDER TO THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT OF SOUTHWARK COUNCIL.

It's the statement that should of been issued a fortnight ago, it makes no mention of the fact that it's already been turned down!

And that quote at the end appeared in the South London Press last week. So an out-of-date press release becomes a club statement...

It's not a club statement, its a statement from Meadow Residential

eta. Your comment seems to infer that Dulwich Hamlet FC has been tardy in releasing this information.

More accurate than the 'facts' used by Cllr. James Barber in the 'Southwark News' today....

Yes, I have no problem with you being a fan, but I'd be interested to know who you are 'in real terrace life', so I can put a name to a nom de plume.
