Paul Mason's latest C4 snippet. I like how he's struggling to hide his glee
"will have been" - who? Name them. Why do you keep doing this?Btw, a fair few of Syriza and the top table will have been activists in the European Social Forum, maybe it acheived something after all.

If the prediction is true, fuck 'em.FWIW Max Keiser predicting Deutche Bank collapse.
European countries should take advantage of this event together around the negotiating table, take stock of the failure of the euro and austerity, and organise the dissolution of the single currency system, which is needed to get back to real growth, employment and debt reduction.
BREAKING: Germany's vice chancellor Sigmar Gabriel has said new negotiations with Greece are "difficult to imagine" after a 'no' vote.
He said conservatives and liberals are now in the NO camp and this presents a massive problem for the EU as they cannot attack on trad conservative lines. I'm not picking on your posts here, but come on...gotta love that, doing the 'conservatives! llberals! your boys have taken a hell of a beating. A hell of a beating' line. Can't say I blame him. Whatever comes next for the people of greece isn't going to be easy but they told the eu to fuck off. Good show people, good show indeed.
FWIW Max Keiser predicting Deutche Bank collapse.

Compared to Deutsche Bank, Greek banks look healthy. Greece's problem's will be overshadowed by DB's collapse.

Who will buy my lovely gold now?Given who is saying it I expect their profits to soar soon
They don't have a mandate to do what they basically just won an election around doing?I guess the thing now is for Syriza to return to the Drachma asap... there cant really be another option can there?
My impression is that till now Syriza have done a good job of attempting to find some middle ground with the troika and weren't met half way - and it would seem the majority of Greek people agree - but Greece literally can't afford to go back to dragging negotiations, and I very much doubt the troika are now about to roll over and make huge concessions. Which leaves only the drachma...
What are the mechanisms for going back to the drachma?
Syriza dont have a mandate to do so (as such) so could/would/should they call a referendum on it? It would feel strange to have a referendum like they jsut had and not on ditching the euro (which a few weeks ago the vast majority of people were in favour of keeping). And if they did have a referendum what if the vote went in favour of staying in the euro!
Another way out, supposedly, is for the European Central Bank to force the default and force Greece out of the euro - no need for a Syriza mandate then. In a way I hope thats what the troika encourages to happen (behind closed doors) . Draw a line under this now and move on....
They're not after a bailout though. They can bail out banks, but not a country. Image
