Germany v Portugal (Group G) Monday 16th June 2014

hopefully england gets to play germany again in this tournament. in south africa, for some crazy reason, england were actually favourites with the bookies. had £300 on a germany win
It's a 'risk' exercise when compiling odds, rather than a statistical prediction of who's most likely to win.

yes i know that. my point was england fans were backing england so much that germany's odds were ridiculous

Not much going Portugals way so far. Goal down, yellow card, player injured and already used up a substitute.

They look like they could equalise given some space or a good break.

Things getting better now - they've just gone 2-0 down and we all know it's very bad to be 2-0 up, so things are looking up for Portugal

You can see Muller almost overreact to the headnudge too, before thinking "no, I don't think there's any chance I could get away with that..." and squaring up instead :D Love his exaggerated indignation though - "you can't touch me with your head! What the fuchens do you think you're doing?!" :D

Cynical bit of manipulation, wasn't it? I do reckon they should change the rules on violent conduct. I don't think what Pepe (or Pogba) did meaningfully constitutes violence.

Why are Germany and Italy always (well, mostly) so good. It's amazing. Not even half time and Portugal are dead in the water.

I think he just misjudged bending over, which is quite easy to do and got sent off.

Its all about how many now.
