One more extreme unpopular opinion I'll hide here. VAR. Technology. The lot. I'm a big supporter of goal line stuff, it works.

But I'd rather swap the lot, see Lampard's goal not given, if we could do away with this endless shit of a toenail being given offside.

It's sport. Human sport with human frailties. Not science.

Fuck VAR. You are not seeking advantage with your toenail. And that's what offside exists for.

I find people complaining about ref calls after having the benefit of watching replays as tedious as everyone else finds VAR, so I remain for it.

If everyone would agree to never again debate the apparently now sacrosanct decision of the referee, I might tolerate removal of VAR.

But, funnily enough, I don't really see that happening...
