GB News: a thread so you never have to watch it

The moment female TV pundit realised she wasn’t being paid – but male guest was - Telegraph

The unpleasant little wanker has made a complaint to IPSO about this article whining that they didn't contact him before publication.
And:
I have also complained to Ofcom about Sky News disclosing confidential information about my appearance fee to another guest
Very unprofessional, and I would think that there were internal guidelines preventing that sort of thing
Unacceptable

🤣

He is also whining that he will probably no longer get invited on to GB News.
And of course that will deprive us all of contributions like this:

Connor Tomlinson: ''Seeking attention on social media is a form of digital infidelity. It makes your man feel unwanted, and profanes the sanctity of your relationship. Your husband should be your sole source of validation. Inspire him to make sacrifices.''

x-twitter link for the video clip in which they complain about female Tory politicians seeking affirmation by flaunting themselves on social media instead of looking for a "good husband" to affirm them.

I presume he doesn't want Ofcom cancelled however. Just to exercise its authority somehow or other because reasons, fuming chauvinist liar twat

Such a strange story. She said she was invited on for an interview and so didn't think about asking for a fee. Then they changed the terms of reference at last minute so it was one on one with that bozo, who she later found was getting paid.

Like I get I don't understand how this stuff works but it seems bad for several reasons

I want to know how much those Think Tank people get every week appearing on Question Time and the Daily Politics. Or does the BBC have a standing order with the Think Tanks? (and the Telegraph & Times who seem to be the only journos who get invited since 2019).

I wouldn't have assumed anyone got paid for appearing in this capacity. But that's why I don't work in media

Bloke got £200

Bloke got £200
We know that.
What I'm asking is how much do people get on Question Time - and similar programmes like the Daily Politics.
For example last week Lisa Nandy and Wendy Chamberlain were on along with a useless government minister. Were they paid - in addition to their parliamentary salaries? and how much?
Then again the miserable Tory permalobbyist Tim Montgomerie and founder of "Conservative Home" was on. How much did he get?
And why two Conservatives - is this nu-balance from the BBC? If you have a Labour and a Lib Dem you have to have TWO Tories?
Didn't used to work like that on Question Time.

QT doesn't pay politicians any fee for appearing. Just their travel expenses.
Neither does the Daily Politics.
Because they're on to talk about party political matters, it's considered that their salary is paying for their time to do that already.

Other programmes have their own policies. HIGNFY pays for sure.

You can tell which by checking the parliament register of interests for payments.

But that doesn't apply to the other non-politician pundits. I'm pretty sure they're all paid.

Fucking hell it just keeps getting worst, a lot of senior Tory MPs must surely now be questioning WTF they are doing working for and/or speaking out in support of this shower of weirdos.
I also bet Richard Tice is thinking why did I leave talk TV to come to this cesspit

Such a classy station:

GB News is employing at least five men who have faced past allegations of sexual impropriety – including one accused of raping a colleague and two others of groping offences, Byline Times can reveal in the wake of the broadcaster’s misogyny storm.

Three of the men lost previous roles in other media companies following the serious allegations while the – now suspended – GB News presenter Dan Wootton advocated at a misconduct hearing for a fourth accused of persistent sexual harassment.

The fifth is the network’s chief executive Angelos Frangopoulos, who was named in a sexual harassment complaint last year that saw a female staffer leave GB News with a five-figure settlement having signed a non-disclosure agreement.
