GB News: a thread so you never have to watch it

The fake vicar has been suspended

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Robinson wrote: "I have been suspended from GB News."

It followed an earlier post showing support for Wootton, saying he would not appear on Dan Wootton Tonight without his suspended colleague.

He also condemned "careerist ambitious" colleagues "who are currently gunning for his job".

"These people are worse than the woke mob, because these vultures are giving the mob ammunition and essentially escalating the channel's demise," he added.

Attacking your employers on twatter is never going to go well, what a complete tit.

GB News presenter [AKA fake vicar] says he will stand by Dan Wootton: If he falls, we all fall.

“I get that people have to pay the bills. But GB News is more than a job – it’s certainly more than a chance to be on the telly – it is a mission,” he continued.

“An opportunity to shift the dial in public discourse. To have the conversations the shills on other channels cannot or will not have. We must do all we can to avoid GB News becoming just another MSM outlet. Which it will, if we let it.”

On a mission for God? :D

Calvin had x-cweeted this crap defending Wootton at 8.46am today.
I will not be appearing on Dan Wootton Tonight without Dan Wootton.Dan Wootton had a significant part to play in building GB News.He invited me along pre-launch, he also brought so many people onboard. Behind the cameras as well as on-screen talent.Including the careerist ambitious ones who are currently gunning for his job. These people are worse than the woke mob, because these vultures are giving the mob ammunition and essentially escalating the channel’s demise. We failed as a community to stand up for Mark Steyn. If we let them do the same to Dan, it’s over. The channel will be on borrowed time, we will all be the next in the firing line.I get that people have to pay the bills. But GB News is more than a job - it’s certainly more than a chance to be on the telly - it is a mission. An opportunity to shift the dial in public discourse. To have the conversations the shills on other channels cannot or will not have. We must do all we can to avoid GB News becoming just another MSM outlet. Which it will, if we let it.Our bosses are scared. Afraid of Ofcom, afraid of the woke mob, and afraid they’re going to run out of money unless they manage to sort this advertising problem out. We need to give them courage, not enable them to capitulate. If they pander to the woke mob, we are finished. Someone else might get the prime time slot for a bit, but it will not be a promotion if you jump in Dan’s grave. You’ll just be making space alongside his corpse for your own.Standing up for Dan is standing up for the very idea of GB News. If he falls, we all fall. We are about to see if people really care about the project, or they just want a better slot, with a bigger team and better pay.

GB News - truly all fur coat and no vicars.

I see the GB News boss was on the BBC trying to explain the values and mission of the channel, lol. Typical wank about being disruptors and gibberish about being 'journalism for people, not journalism for journalists'

Their stance on Ofcom is also of the 'trying to change the rules of the game' variety:

"We totally respect Ofcom," he said. "We chose to be regulated. The difference is that what we are doing is very different to what the normal parameters of the Ofcom code were originally considered to be about.

"They were designed for the News at Ten and the Nine O'Clock News," he said. "We are reflecting a different approach to the way that conversations happen and we are disruptive, and that's why Britain is watching this channel."

That's not how that works.
"We chose to be regulated". Well I chose not to get a speeding fine and my license revoked, by sticking to the speed limits.
Now, I'm speeding past police officers while sounding the horn and flipping them off. The police don't like that, but what I'm doing is very different to what the normal parameters of the law were originally considered to be about.
That's why all the pedestrians are watching.

Currently, 361 people are watching their YouTube channel.

Really? They suspended Friar Liar too? This is great

How long before these rejects start their own grift to kickstart an even more batshit TV channel?

They'll probably go to You Tube (if they are not already on there). There is "Talk TV" of course but I doubt the Murdoch's would risk hiring Wooten.
