Gaza under attack yet again.

I suppose the ceasefire lasted just long enough for all the journalists to go home and people to get bored of reading about it :(
Oh you cynical so and so, now just wait and see how IS and the Ukraine start to dominate headlines.

i suppose if they did they wouldn't be doing it
Now I'm not the most well informed on here but I assume the zionists have an intelligence dept, it's either assuming "we" can do what the hell we want and the US will back us all the way or it's understating The possibility of a US revulsion of their actions, unfortunately the first scenario looks the most likely.

Looks like they are going to get even worse, don't these people realise they are backing themselves into an impossible corner?

But they're not, are they?

Public opinion is turning against them, yes, and not before time, but there is still no sign that the US will take a tougher stance on their war crimes and continued violation of international and humanitarian law. And while the US is onside, even if cracks are showing, Israel will continue to act as a vicious and unhinged terrorist state, safe in the knowledge it's essentially untouchable.

Horrendous.

Like I said, the first scenario looks the most likely, about time we started to unhook from Uncle Sam, but oops what about the Ukraine? Mebbes we need to keep US onside no matter how Shyte their actions are?

I'm not sure what it would take to break down the US-Israeli axis, but it would have to be something unimaginably grim

I thought what's happening in Gaza would have satisfied the criterion of " unimaginably grim" but I must have overestimated the level of what constitutes decency in the US.

@Omar_Gaza: MOH stats: death toll reached 19, 124 others injured in the past 24 hours after Israel's resumption of attacks on #Gaza!

@WhateverInGaza Al Qassam's speech from 7pm local time;

Alqassam: "You, Israelis have failed. You are unable to reach our leader Al Deif.

We promise Al Deif will be the general commander for the liberation Army to liberate Al Aqsa.

Israel cowardly attacked civilians yesterday. Attempting to assassinate the leader Mohamamad Deif. Mohammed Deif is safe and was not not hurt in the Israeli strike.

We warn International airlines from flying into Israel starting from tomorrow 6am.

We warn all residents of Gaza settlements area to stay in shelters."

I notice the hypocrisy more and more each day. When the IDF warn civilians of impending bombings they're deemed to be most upstanding and moral. Will the same be said of the al-Qassam brigades for doing the same thing as noted above?

Aye but the IDF are killing people left right and centre for a few badly aimed rockets, how bad will it get if they start causing real problems for the Israelis?

They don't have the capacity to do that. Flights were already cancelled during the ground invasion and it didn't slow down or speed up the destruction.

Looks like they have something planned?

If there is something planned then it will have to be coming from elsewhere. All Hamas have are their fireworks. The only possible thing I can think of is something from Hezbollah and I don't think they have the capacity to shoot down a plane. It's that or some sort of attack on an airport from militants already inside Israel. I'm not sure Hamas would risk becoming further isolated though by carrying out such an attack though.

I think Hamas may have misunderstood the machinations behind the US Federal Aviation Administration's July 22 dictum. That looked to me like a rather subtle way of applying pressure on the State of Israel. I think that, if anything, a statement from Hamas reduces the chances of it happening it again. (I can't rule out there being some other background to the FAA decision.)

What real problems do you foresee them causing for Israel?

Going back to the negotiating table would probably cause the most real damage to the Israelis, or rather to the current Israeli government. Lets face it, the reason why Bibi's mob keep trying to kick things off is because they - and everyone else - know that keeping the status quo of blockade is not going to be sustainable or achieveable.

@faresakram Hamas just declared death of its 3 top commanders for southern #Gaza Strip in pre-dawn Israeli airstrikes in Rafah town.

@ANimer Alqassam announce the death of Muhamad Abu Shamaleh, Ra'd Alatar and Muhamad Barhoom! Killed in #Rafah Airstrike.

‏@AlArabiya_Eng Hamas says three senior commanders killed in #Gaza

@Belalmd12 Israel flattened an entire neighborhood with 9 massive bombs to kill Raed al-Attar, a senior Qassam commander of Rafah division. RIP

I'm not convinced it'll get worse. There's nowhere Israel can really escalate to, short of "scorched earth" (in the old sense of "kill everyone and ruin the land too") short of a tactical nuke, and they want the land for themselves too much to turn Gaza into radioactive glass.

You might have said the same about the Sri Lankans and the Tamil Tigers.... I agree that Israel now wants Gaza (possibly because of offshore gas) and are regretting the fact that Sharon chose to turn it into a modified concentration camp.
