You'd think so, but sadly FMotL-ism crosses over from and into all kinds of fucked up conspiracism so there are obviously REASONS WHY these things always fail, that have NOTHING TO DO WITH being wrong or in thrall to magical thinking and paranoia and everything to do with THE EVIL FORCES

That's one of those things that's been around for years and pops up every so often isn't it. I don't know if it's FOTLerish per se but I see the comparison. I tend to see it go around my Mum's friends who definitely aren't that way inclined but maybe are a bit more internet/tech-naïve. I think it does show that conflict which underpins a lot of the more tech-related conspiracy theory though, in that people aren't comfortable with how data is used, but aren't prepared to withdraw from it altogether.

Pah they're rubbish. They need a legal notice "We give the website FORMAL NOTICE that it has two days to respond to this PRIVACY NOTICE before said PRIVACY NOTICE takes precedence over the website's TERMS AND CONDITIONS. Said website then accepts that it will be liable for any legal fees arising from a dispute between the TWO PARTIES.

That'd sort it :)

It's definitely FOTL-adjacent, but I think it's just clueless credulousness.

However, I clocked that his profile pic was some Magna Carta bullshit about not recognising the government and couldn't resist a nose. Perhaps I'm out of touch with my illuminati decoder ring, but what's with all the random numbers? Is there meant to be some sort of system here based on maritime law or is this just a roll of the dice? I don't stand under.

Does one just put in a word 128, add a number 53, link to a news article mentioning a pothole in Nuneaton 112, and then say Nazi Nursery 221, New World Order Catholic Trombonist 37, and Masonic 5G Nougat 91?
