Freeman-on-the-land idiocies

Got a friend who's got sucked right down the conspiracy loon rabbit hole, it's sad to see. Started off with posting a load of Nigel Farage nonsense and now moved on to battier and battier things. Latest thing is telling people to boycott Arla products. Never even heard of that one but a quick check and it's the "climate change isn't real" twats making up a load of shit about some methane reducing cow feed giving you cancer. They've even managed to shoehorn Bill Gates into it, of course. 🙄

I was looking at our local rag's Facebook page yesterday afternoon and they were warning readers about the red alert for storm force winds arriving in the early hours of this morning. Some idiot just replied with Fake News.....not surprisingly he's gone rather quiet now as the storm has done terrible damage with dozens of trees down and structural damage. Thousands are without power as well...I just hope he's one of them.

Jesus! I'm getting a pile on from her mates now, simply for posting the same link exposing the lie I did here. For the last few weeks she's been banging on about how hard done by farmers have been by Labour (usually Farage shit) and now she wants people to boycott a load of farms. Yeah, that will really help them!

Is this why the odd squad on the local spotted Facebook group keep posting pictures of lurpak saying “no one wants to buy it even on offer”

Seen this on Xitter earlier. Might as well be a meme the way they're sharing the same image claiming it's from different supermarkets across the globe.

This is the problem. Cynicism has been replaced by abject ignorance and loaded scepticism.
On the other hand, when you live in a world where the ruling class (essentially big corporations) subvert all attempts at democracy, it's not unreasonable for people to believe in conspiracies. The problem is the right specialise in conspiracy theories, from the protocols to great replacement, so once you start down the rabbit hole that's where you'll end up.

Trying to get people see the real conspiracies (see below) and not the fakes is near impossible.

There was two types, the army ones that look like they should be in 'War of Worlds', the walkways between the towers have largely rusted away and collapsed into the sea, but otherwise the individual towers are apparently in fairly good nick, despite being rusty on the outside.

That mast isn't left over from the pirate stations in the 60s, it was erected back in 2007 and used by 'Radio Red Sands' for a few years, using a restricted service licence (RSL) for 10 days during the annual Whitstable Oyster Festival, and yes, I know a couple of the nutters that went out there to be it!

The navy forts, had living quarters actually in the legs, going down below sea levels, it's one of these that is Sealand, minus the very top bit, which was removed to make way for a helicopter landing pad.

The Army forts were such a horrible posting. They were the most deserted post in ww2. Met a veteran who volunteered for the commandos rather go back. He thought he would get injured in training he didn't got a medal for valour. It was either be a great commando or go back to those bastard forts.
It's a good read, and a great story, TBH.
