No, not for one second - I just think it's a bit crass to have a laugh at someone's loss of a limb or two. Even worse when it's his insult by numbers stuff.

I can understand people complaining about him making those sort of jokes on TV but not on Twitter 'in this day and age', I stopped following a lot of comedians they were just posting shit jokes they think of on the bus or something, like those Frankie Boyle jokes they just aren't funny

The only reason that these things work is because they are uncensored

I object to the idea that there is ANYTHING that can't be laughed at. Which seems to be the basis of many of the complaints. What counts isn't the subject matter of the joke, but the attitude it displays towards other people, and whether or not it is funny. Like all comedians Boyle is hit or miss on the last point, but in my view he tends to reserve his contempt for the rich and powerful. A case in point being the Saudi paralympians joke, where the butt of the joke is a legal system that considers amputation to be a just punishment.

I must be missing the point - the paralympians don't seem to be the focus of the second two jokes and the first is more of a comment on the saudi justice system than anything else.

I think theres more than a bit of manufactured outrage going on . I dont think he said anything that was all that offensive . He just hasnt held the paralympic games in po faced reverence , which people are supposed to do . Its like when Diana died or something . Obligatory reverence .
