I'm sure someone will have posted this by now
butchersapron
A shining light. Never bullying on these forums. A good upstanding chap who we should all aspire (when it suits him) to. Never belligerent and a faultless good egg of a man.....
Thank you again.

Really. Free pass then?
Quite frankly, Stewart Lee offends me with his patronising, smug, tediously unfunny shit. Who the fuck laughs at this rubbish ?
On the whole I like Boyle, but just like most comics he doesn't get it right all the time. The dolphin joke wasn't particularly funny imo, but nor was it really that offensive, bit of a fuss over nothing. The other joke from him towards Adlington in that article seems like a pretty nasty personal attack, and for me crosses the line.
Sadowitz does offensive humour a million times better.
Really? What was his, in the loosest sense of the word, reasoning?Talking of palestine and censorship, guess which poster on this thread had a hissy fit over and wanted to ban the use of the word 'philistine'?
Still the same reasoning. Philistine is the word meaning Palestinian in Arabic for us to use it to mean uncultured is institutionalised racism. But butchers disagrees. Doesn't change the fact it's origins in its use are borne from racism so long as enough time has passed was the general consensus from urban and specifically from butchers and other so called right on head bangers.Really? What was his, in the loosest sense of the word, reasoning?
Buggering barbarian
What about Bugger?FYI there's no group which currently would call themselves a barbarian today. So there's no direct relation to it. Palestinians call themselves and always have done philistines. But we digress. It was a flack move by butchers to derail the thread from Urbans groupthink idea of humour...
It's next door to ...I've done a very cursory google and it looks like Garf is wrong about Philistine.
He's fucking hilarious when on form. This wasn't his best work.
Considering his whole routine is based around "look at me, aren't I naughty", I could think of few worse people to have a beer with tbh.
I thought it was next to modern day Jordan. But... it was a failed funny (young master Boyle's 'laughs' at Katy Price's son). Perhaps Garf's right - I don't understand comedy.I thought it was part of Syria.
Or is it Canaan?
Yup saw him at the Hammersmith Apollo a couple years back.
And you still like him?

ooohh Frankie Boyle! ooooooh! I'd better post on Urban about this!
see other anglicised words... Dunkirk/Dunkerque , Japan/Nippon etc...Not exactly philistine but the same word historically, pronounced more like falasteen.
