France bans short-haul flights to cut carbon emissions

They kind of do, but in association with other airlines. Meaning stopovers.

I agree it's more likely easyjet.

You can book Ryanair to Hurghada, on Skyscanner, but it's a flight to Milan, where you change (airports as well as aircraft) to Easyjet to fly to Hurghada.

On that basis you can fly Ryanair to Sydney, if you go to Paris, then get a Quantas flight to Australia!
 
A colleague tells me she is off to Egypt on Sunday. Flight out is £11 flight back is £15.
That might just buy a single ticket by train Birmingham with a quid or two left over :facepalm:

Yep, it's whizz air from Gatwick. £11 is all inc. though not sure this is relevant. The point is it would cost around that for either of us to get from home near Clapham junction by train to Gatwick. It's crazy that you can get a 5 hour ish flight for next to nothing.
